Hirome Market
Located near the ruins of the former residence of the Tosa clan’s senior vassal, the area continued to be affectionately called Hirome Yashiki even after the residence disappeared during the Meiji Restoration. The market was named Hirome Market after this designation. It consists of seven blocks, including Ojoka Hiroba and Ryoma Street, and is home to unique shops such as fresh fish stores, butcher shops, general stores, clothing stores, and restaurants. Tables and chairs are placed throughout the market, allowing visitors to buy their favorite foods from their favorite shops and bring them to the tables to eat. Most of the restaurants in the market do not have tables, but if you put your dishes together, staff will collect them after the meal. With endless opportunities for eating, shopping, sightseeing, and leisure, visitors can tailor their experience at the market to suit their preferences.
